I am pretty particular (a word T often uses to describe me) about what I put in the dryer. A big no, no – jeans and anything that has the potential of shrinking, even the slightest bit.
The other morning I realized that one of my favorite dresses was mistakenly placed in the dryer. After letting out a loud sigh, I realized that I should be grateful that I have such an amazing husband who helps out so much around the house. I am a very lucky lady. T is usually the one who cooks dinner during the work week every day of the week, doesn’t complain when I recruit him on my crazy cleaning sprees, and willingly helps out with the laundry.
So, the only thing I could do was problem solve. I’ve used water and conditioner on shrunken clothing in the past, but wanted to make sure that I followed the best process this time around. I did a search and and it looks like water + conditioner = the standard process to fix shrunken clothing.
1. Add 2-3 tablespoons of hair conditioner to room temperature water
2. Soak garment for approximately 5 minutes
3. Lay garment on a clean dry towel and gently stretch/reshape
4. Allow garment to dry

I will let you know how it turns out.
